Oral and injectable steroids both have their benefits. Primarily, oral steroids offer huge gains in short periods, and injectable steroids offer smaller, higher quality gains over longer periods of time. Most of the bodybuilders and athletes who utilize anabolic steroids will actually use both during a cycle. They will start out with one of the oral steroids as a “kick-start” for their gains, then switch over to an injectable before the side effects become too much to handle. This way, they can enjoy quick gains from the start, then turn them into lean muscle without much water retention throughout the rest of the cycle.
Although I am usually not inclined to posit speculations on why a particular drug does or doesn't do something, in this case I will. Im guessing that the higher doses of Anadrol cause enough appetite suppression (at least anecdotally) to make eating rather difficult. It can also increase insulin resistance and glucose intolerance (5). This has the effect of making macronutrient absorption more inefficient, and could also be a factor in reducing gains when the dosage goes over 100mgs/day. Unfortunately, Anadrol also has a reasonably profound effect on your body's natural hormonal system, on par with most other oral steroids , but not as bad as most injectables, and its certainly not as harsh on your lipid profile as many anabolics are
I split my dosages into 10 mg splits. Basically I took 10 mg's (5 tabs) every couple of hours while i was awake. My workouts remained the same as they are now. I like to go heavy and my routine revolves around the big 5 exercises. I prefer short and brutal workouts and I always try to stay above 90% of my 1 RM. I do 1-2 sets per exercise and 3-4 exercises per body part. I like to keep it simple and hardcore. While on the winnie I upped my protein intake to / pound. I also took in lots of EFA's while keeping my carbs med-low except after my workout. Hope that helps.
